In one of our Illustrator lessons, we learned the process of screen-printing.

Screen-printing is a popular way to press inked designs into clothing and other products.

The way this is done is you create a screen using fine mesh material and frame your screen using wood, afterwards you create a stencil using your chosen design and place it underneath your screen and over your shirt, product or paper.

Next, place a line of ink using a colour of your choice under your stencil design and then use a Squeegee* to forcefully draw the ink over your stencil to imprint it on the chosen object.

here is a simple diagram

after we learned this process, we used Illustrator to create a double-coloured T-Shirt design, as if creating a design for screen-printing.

Here’s my design. (work-in-progress)
