visual studies: Colour theory

My colour wheel

 

During these lessons, we began using colour and paints in our work.

To start, we began researching different types of colour theory. These are the first 3 types of colour we were shown first

  • Primary: Red, yellow and blue: The 3 colours others originate from
  • Secondary: Green, orange and purple: the mixtures of any combination of primaries
  • complimentary: Green-yellow, orange-yellow, orange-red, purple-red, purple-blue and blue-green.: mixtures of any combinations of secondary colours.

For homework we were asked to create our own colour wheel to visualise the combinations. (shown above)
