Maya tutorial: basic animation

In order to practice animation, we used basic polygons, and using the animation layout for Maya, we began making our own basic animation.

Creating a basic cube shape, I turned on the keyframe in the timeline and, using the slider to select a time-frame to animate from, I used the ‘translate’ settings in the channels menu to slide it along it’s X-axis.

In order to get a better perspective on where I was placing my cube, i used the top-down view in the perspective menu.
